There are two form of knowledge. The first is subject-knowledge: chemistry, mathematics, medicine, law etc. the absence of subject knowledge results to illiteracy; which is the inability to read and write.

The second is personal-purpose knowledge: which is about the reason for human existence. The absence of personal purpose knowledge results to ill-literacy: This is the inability to think, to dream and to create.

Illiteracy is not destructive; it is simply obstructive. It is ill-literacy that strangles the growth and development of men, nations and mankind.

The source of subject-knowledge is fact-discovery, but the source of personal-purpose knowledge is self-discovery. A Professor who is ignorant of his personal purpose is in a critical state than a stack illiterate. The greatest question a man will ever answer is “Who Are You?” and “Why are you?”

If a man correctly answers these questions then no adversity is strong enough to stop him from success. But if a man fails to correctly answer these questions then the best opportunities of life is not potent enough to save him from failure. Indeed, without self-discovery life’s opportunity becomes impotent; but with self-discovery life’s adversities becomes fertilizers for breakthroughs.

Most men hide under the cover of Brand Names: Professor, Major General, Senator, Honorable, Chief, Bishop, and Arch-Bishop; but without discovery and fulfillment of personal purpose such human-brand-names are useless. No man was created for a job title, chieftaincy title, academic title or military rank. Man is rather created for a purpose.

Fulfillment of personal purpose nullifies the need for job or chieftaincy titles. Little wonder, great men are simply known by plain names: Jesus Christ, Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, Albert Einstein, Florence Nightingale, Mother Teresa, Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther Kg Jnr, Nelson Mandela.
